New York, N.Y.-based Bowery Farming Inc. has expanded its footprint and added two new farms to its network: Locust Grove, Ga.-based Locust Grove Farm and Arlington, Texas-based Arlington Farm.
Locust Grove Farm, with its location near the Atlanta metro area, “will serve a population of 20 million people within a 200-mile radius,” according to a news release, while Arlington Farm, located near Dallas, will serve a population of 16 million within a 200-mile radius.

Both farms are expected to open in 2023, the release said.

Both farms will feature a few new amenities, too, including:

  • A comprehensive water transpiration system;
  • LED lighting; and
  • Bowery’s own proprietary farm operating system, BoweryOS, which will leverage “billions of data points collected from Bowery’s network of farms to grow a reliable supply of consistently delicious produce year-round,” the release said.
